Default which thermal paste?
so im looking for really the best thermal paste there is right now and have no idea. i know there is arctic silver 5 and noctua but is there one better?

If you don't mind how abrasive it is, IC7 is where it is at. At least for me, that stuff has served me well.

AC is still very good, as well as Zalman ZMSTG stuff.

what do you mean abrasive as in itll take off the ink on my heatspreader? then no i really couldnt give a shite

and to be specific i want something that i can use on my CPU as well as my GPU. and ive heard good things about the noctua thermal paste but that zalman looks interesting as well.

yeah it'll remove all lettering on your CPU, but +1 for IC7.

Yeah couple of applications and switching around on my 1090T and the only way I can tell you what processor it is is through CPU-z

But damn does it work good.

I really liked the Zalman stuff after using their coolers and getting a whole tube with it. Works really well.

Well since it has Diamonds 7 Carat Thermal Compound yea it will take off the ink on cpu and remove the lettering.

But from what I hear its can drop temps from 5 to 10 degrees.

well guess im going on the hunt for some ic diamond 7 then just have to find a place that sells it around here, and im really surprised that newegg US doesn't carry it

I just bought some Arctic MX-4 because I have to RMA my H100 and put my H60 back on. I hope the stuff is ok.
