Case fans upgrade This isn't actually a question about cpu coolers but more about case fans. I have a 500r with a h100 all at stock. but when its on load its too much noise for me. i know its all stock, ive been trying to figure out what 120/140mm fans to upgrade with. but i have no idee where to go. anyone here know where to point me for some silent(er) fans but with good performance? i know the spector pro is close but not sure how good it is and something like the coolermaster excaliber at 50$ is a little too much... thanks |
Actually i just found what kind of fans ibuypower/cyberpowerpc are using check out Enermax good fans for < 20$ :punk: |
if you are looking on the cheaps, arctic cooling seems to fairly quiet and something more expensive i would go with noctuas. you can check out silent pc review they have a whole slew of fans they tested and it lists prices and some other variables as well noise etc. |
fan controller with Y adapters depending on how many fans you wanna hook up. Problems solved. |
scythe s-flex is good. decent performance and reasonable price. |
Thermalright TY-140's. $15~ |
These work well but they do not stay in stock for very long.... Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1,850rpm Silent Case Fan at Memory Express |
if you dont care what they look like go for Scythe Slipstream 1900RPM Edition they have 110cfm with 37 dba which you can either turn down yourself with a controller or Q fan if you have Asus Board i had 2 of these on my 240 Rad... and these were amazin Scythe Slip Stream Kaze Jyuni 120MM Fan 1900RPM 110.3CFM 37DBA - Scythe - SY1225SL12SH 10$ each if too loud go for the 1200rpm with 69cfm instead ;) |
