Gentle Typhoon AP-15's
Are now back in stock @ aquatuning if anyone is interested. Just got myself five of them, came out to about 20 a fan taxes and shipping inc.

wish i lived in canada... shipping is 16$ to the US T_T sigh... so wanted the GT's too.

Well I unfortunately realized after I made my purchase but anywhere between 1 and 5 fans the shipping is always 16 bucks. 6 fans and up it drops down to 6 bucks. Had I ordered 6 fans instead of 5 I would have paid maybe an extra 5 bucks for an extra one :(

Yeap, 6 for 72 hour and $8 for 48 hour Shipping with 6 fans. Wicked price. Sure beats waiting for months for NCIX to restock them.

At full speed they are loud IMO. But @ 5V they sound great.

Silent_Avenger February 16, 2012 09:28 AM

Really you think they're loud at 28dba? Hrm maybe I'm going deaf cuz my 30dba turbine masters don't seem that loud at all.

hmm.. i just ordered 6 .. so I will see

At 5V I found the AP15's have an odd motor-growl noise that goes away if you put pressure on the fan hub.
It really depends how sensitive you are to the particular tones the fan generates, and if you have anything else in your case that would mask it.

FWIW I like to run S-Flex E's at 5V (~400 RPM, basically inaudible in open air).

I think what you mean zoob, I actually prefer the Noctua NF-P12's because of that droning. They are definitely quieter than the AP-15's.
