Accelero S1 - Stock TIM or AS5 ?

I just bought an Accelero S1 Cooler. My Video card is a MSI 7800GT.

Is the stock TIM on the new cooler good? Or would it be worth while for me to remove it and use some AS 5?

Use MX-2! Make it a worklog and show us all how you do it! Make sure you give us the temp differences! Good Luck!

I had already removed the stock cooler before recieving this one. I would have liked to test this but I messed up the first install (should have read the instructions)

The original paste I got on my Accelero S1 v.2 seems to be of good quality. I missed the first install too on my 2600XT. (I forgot to put the 4 little white washers between the board and the heatsink.) I did not change or clean the original thermal paste that came on the heatsink when I put it back in place and here are the results:

idle : 40c
load : 45c

I think you can use the stock thermal paste. I don't see the point in changing it to maybe lower the temps by 2-3 degrees unless you want to overclock like crazy
