Fan adapter brackets? 200mm to 180mm

Hey all,

Been trying to google to see if these things exist but nothing comes up. Basically I want to use a 180mm Air Penetrator as a front intake on my case but the mounting holes support only 200mm fans. Is there a bracket or anything that would convert the 200mm holes into 180mm?

I'd imagine it to work something like:
a) the bracket would fit into the 200mm holes
b) the fan would fit into the 180mm holes

Alternatively, does anyone know if Silverstone plans on releasing a 200mm Air Penetrator? I did consider just buying an Antec or CM 200mm fan, but I feel that the AP-181 would yield better performance (not basing it on anything scientific, just a feeling).

A lot of 200mm fans are actually the same size as 180mm fans, the issue is there are no industry standards on fans bigger than 120mm so manufacturers call them whatever they want that won't get them sued. (there are all sorts of weird patents on fan size/names) You best bet is to bust out the caliper and measure.

you could try securing it to one or two holes or get some wire and bend it into position.

also some cases come with,what you call them,like little metal things.

i have a box full,for cases like this or when the gpu doesnt line up properly or such.

A 200mm CM fan would do just as well as the AP fans do.
The AP fan has good science with it but the performance between the two is negligable.
