Default Tuniq Tower

What's everyone's opinion of the Tuniq Tower?

I was thinking of getting this since it is not as tall as the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme and therefore allow me to use two 120mm fans on the side of CM690 case.

From the reviews I read it's 1-2 degrees warmer than the TRUE so I figure it should be sufficient enough to cool an E8400 OCed to 4.0GHz.

I decided not to do watercooling at this point of time as my budge will not allow for it.

Tuniq or True neither will allow fans on the side of that case :)

I have the TRUE in it and its just slightly smaller in height than the Tuniq.

How may fans do you have in the case? What fan do you have on your TRUE and how do you find the temps?

I was thinking about having the two top fans be exhaust, the front intake, rear exhaust and side intake.

1 front (intake)
2 top (exhaust)
1 rear (exhaust)
120x38mm Kaze 3000 rpm on the TRUE (may switch out to Noctua)

I've flipped the panels around so the 2x120 panel is on the backside and the 80mm motherboard fan hole is on the opposite.

I love the Tuniq tower; it's the first and only air cooler I've used with my custom built computers. I would like to try the TRUE though, because I'm curious.

Well, unless someone wants to get rid of their TRUE and send it to me, I'll do a comparison on the Noctua NH-U12F and the TRUE. How's that for a deal?

I like having the two fans on the CM690 side panel for aesthetics (they will be blue LED) and function (more airflow) so I will try the Thermalright Ultima-90 with 2 Scythe Kama 92MM PWM Fan 200-2500RPM 0-31DBA 0-55CFM in a push/pull setup. I believe with that setup I will have no problem getting my E8400 to 4.0GHz.

My System Specs

Depends if you like having a quiet computer or not. I found the Tuniq performed terrible with a low speed fan like a Yate Loon. The fins are just too dense. I sold mine after 3 days back when they first came to Canada as my Noctua NH-U12 performed much better.

I don't care about noise. With that amount of fans I'm gonna have in this rig and all running at max speed. Besides with my speakers on the sounds of the fans will get drowned out.

I plan on having 6x120mm case fans, 2x92mm CPU fans (push/pull) and 2x120mm GPU fans

With a 90 and a single 90mm fan you'll hit 4.0 no problem.
