Default EVGA Superclock CPU Cooler Review Comment Thread

When someone thinks of EVGA, graphics cards and motherboards are usually the first things that pop into their mind but last month out of left field came their newest product: a CPU cooler. Dubbed the Superclock, it uses an HDT base, has a great looking design, is compatible with every current socket type and sells for under $60. It may sound like perfection but can the Superclock live up to EVGA's reputation?

That is very much what was expected from EVGA.
They have great engineering on their first design, however they need to now make the proper adjustments to the design once its out in the hands of the masses.

I for one, would get it just for the looks and because I own a Pletora of High Speed High static pressure fans that will do the job.

I won one of these through EVGA's contest but haven't had the time to play with it. It has just been sitting here for a couple weeks now. :P Overall it is a very nice looking piece. Some of the testing is showing decent results.

Looks like a good after market HSF, low speed fan results are nice as well.
Might have to pick one of these up.

Nice review. I like the fact that the heat sink is black anodized, but personally I am thinking of a heat sink that can mount two fans.

I bought it at NCIX several months back for $11. Best $11 I ever spent. Its discontinued there now, not sure about elsewhere. Amazing cooler. Easy to attach a 2nd fan with just some zip ties.
