A70 vs V6GT
Hey guys, easy and simple question, i'm going to buy a new heat sink soon and the A70 is on sale, so, which would be have more optimal cooling and which would be more quiet? the a70 or the v6gt

the v6 hands down, plus the a70 mounting is pretty bad and by that i mean terrible on top of that the hyper 212 performs a lot better than an a70 if you want cheap

srsly...? how does it compare in sound to a stock amd lol

techman95 July 10, 2011 08:34 PM

which one the a70? its quieter but then again i really never had any noise issues with my stock one. the v6gt which i own now is very quiet unless your like super overclocked on like a first gen 15 or i7. but with my v6 i haven't had any temps above 41c and that's with the fans slightly above half speed ,and plus it lights up:biggrin:

the a70...what experience/knowledge do you have to know that the a70 is bad lol,

I duno about the v6 tbh, always stayed away from it after i heard it spinning in my friends rig (im the cool and quiet noctua kind of guy)...the A70 isnt bad if you can get it for 25-30$ but not for AMD, simply cause it only mounts north south on AMD *enter sad face here*

was your friend running an intel cpu under that v6?

bf1 July 11, 2011 08:44 AM

well i'm running an amd, and im kind of leaning towards a v6 lol

good choice, you wont regret it as long as its on an AMD or second gen intel i-series itll be pretty quiet
