It's actually lighter than I thought it would be, but I guess that's what happens when you make a fin array with greater distance between individual fins. Still its sheer size would have some leverage to rip itself off your motherboard, so I'd secure it to somewhere in my case if I wanted to have something like this.

I wonder if the same thing could be achieved by running a water cooling system to a giant passive rad? I know, not 100% noiseless but it won't block nearly as many slots...

I know somebody here has a passive loop, running to a truck's radiator. (Squeetard?)

This thing looks silly though, blocks too much to be of use for most things, even for an HTPC or something of the likes in my opinion.
