Default Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme, 2x Noctua P12's and A/C MX-2 gets you this!

With my Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro (no slouch itself) and an e6750 o/c'd to 3.2GHz I got this with CoreTemp:

Idle: 38C
Load: 59C
dB: Vrooom!

With my brand new TRUE with two Noctua NF-SP12's in a push/pull config and Arctic Coolings new MX-2 thermal compound (all bought due to reviews from this site, you guys should ask for a cut from NCIX) I get this:

Idle: 18C
Load: 36C

dB: Quieter than my YL case fan's so I cant hear it.

Now those are double take numbers people

That is water cooling numbers for an easy 90 bux after tax

I havent measured it, the thermo is set at 23C, but this PC is downstairs, so I would say maybe 15-18C, especially seeing as the CPU cant go below ambient...

Still, I sit down there for hours in shorts and a t-shirt so it cant be much lower than 15C

Default MX-2

Yes, where can you find the MX-2...I need some

Time to push your E6750 a bit more don't you think? Just stick it to 3.6@1.35v and run the stability tests tonight.

You might be looking at close to 4ghz later on with those sort of temps

What is the tjunction value that is being read in CoreTemp? If it says 85C its wrongs as the tjunction for the E6750 is 100C so you need to add 15C to your temps.

However if those temps are indeed correct, they are quite nice I must say. I am surprised you aren't just a bit chilled when you are wearing shorts and a t-shirt in your basement.

It's 100 Tj in core temp.

funny side not is that my e2180 when I moved it upstairs now states it is Tj 85 when it was 100 downstairs, same board....

I am a bit chilly, I wear fuzzy socks though...

I am going for 3.4 on stock Vcore today after work, 3.6 is after that, 4.0 would rule but I am not holding my breath...

You have plenty of headroom considering the temps you are getting so you should be able to get to 3.6GHz without any issues and 4.0GHz is probably do-able too.

You got a kickass HSF so why not take advantage of it.
