Default is the AMD stock cooler on x6 good ?

Hi everyone, first of all Happy New Year,
I receive a 890FXA-GD70 MIS motherboard and a Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition ( ŗ $ 229 why not) , So I intend to use this board for my 2008 SBS server, I choose this board because it have 2 x ps2 connectors for the keyboard and the mouse, a need for my KVM. And itís a beautiful board too.
The question, do I need to change the stock cooler, honestly all true few computers will be connected to this server , only 2 or may be 3 users at the time, so the server will be very lightly load. I ask because itís the first time I give a shoot to the green team, so I have no experience with their cooler and the heat they produce.

If you don't intend to overclock it you'll be fine. If you do intend to overclock it, I highly recommend a third party cooler.

It'll be fine, but they're loud as hell. In the end, I replaced it with a 212+ and it runs a lot cooler and quieter.

Sound is not a problem, it will be in the basement, and as for OC, someone OC a server? .... My question is more about longevity, cold CPU live longer, and dust affects performance too. The problem is; I donít have an aftermarket cooler in hand and I want to install it in the case, and use it now, my case donít have hole in the back of the motherboard, May be I should make one?

If you won't be overclocking it, and it won't be 100% load 24/7, you should be fine using the stock one.

It does keep temps within spec.

also, the stock cooler throws air around the motherboard components unlike tall tower coolers. reason for which you may see low end mobos without proper chippie sinks fail when mounted in a poorly ventilated case and the like
