My System Specs

Default Different core temps

Hey all, just got a CM Hyper 212+, running an i7 930. When checking temps, the first core(0) seems to always be higher than the last core(3) by atleast 4-5C, when full load is applied, the difference gets up to 8C.

Is that normal? or should I expect more even temperatures across all the cores? Could there be less thermal paste on a certain area of the cpu? im pretty sure I seated the heatsink well and applied the TIM appropriately.

should I not worry about the temp spread or should I retry mounting the heatsink. Im happy with the temps I'm getting under load with an overclock, but not sure about the spread of the temps across the cores. Thanks for the help !!

I think it's normal. On my i7 system there's usually a 7-8 degree difference in idle temps for me...you should feel lucky
