The weather is cooling off and I have resumed overclocking my computer (in sig). I am currently running at 4.4Ghz (Stable so far

). At the moment I am pumping 1.3V into the core. I went high power after hitting 4.0 on stock volts. I did not 'step it up' so I am hopeful there will be room to drop my V-Core.
I ask the age old question - HOW HOT IS TOO HOT?
For extended stability testing? (Hours of Orthos)
For a moments 'peak' temp?
For idle?
My idle is low to high 40's right now. It seems to go up and down. I have seen her peak @ 71c under OCCT thermal testing which concerns me. I have an Ultra 120 cooler which I need to rotate 90 degree's to take advantage of the large fan on the top of my case (Antec 900 - 200mm). Also I have had suspicions in the past that re-applying thermal compound may be beneficial. I hope to do this in a day or two (I have to unload a moving truck to get my IC7).
Looks like I may be upgrading my case fans sooner than I thought. I am thinking some new Noctua NF-S12B FLX 120M fans and a nice dial type fan controller.
