Recommend an HSF for a V351
 

Hello,

I have an i3 530 for my gf in a Lian Li V351B and I find the stock fan is too noisy while not being a very good cooler.
I'd like if you could suggest some good HSF I could put in there that would be pretty quiet, that would cool better than stock and that would fit. Of course the Noctua C12P is an option, but one which is on the pricy side of things.

Edit(July 14th): A little info for anyone not too interested in reading everything below. I am now considering a Scythe Big Shuriken, but I am worried it may give me problems with the mobo (Gigabyte H57M-USB3) and RAM (Ripjaws). There is no RAM in the 1st slot(closest to the CPU) tho.

I used a Corsair H50 for my Wife's rig (E8400, V350). Does the job silently.

try a scythe . low profile. very good coolers.

Which Scythe are you refering to ? The Shuriken 3 or the Big Shuriken ?

Shaw's idea is a very good one, I use the H50 as well. Though the ECO would be just as good.

How bout the Noctua U9B or whatever it is called.

I am really considering the Scythe Big Shuriken, I know it would fit in the case, but would it enter in conflict with the RAM slots or anything else ? The mobo is a gigabyte H57M-USB3. The first slot is free.

The RAM is some Ripjaws.

i say stick with the regular shuriken. unles you can find someone with the big and your mobo. or a review of either with the other

That makes lots of sense, so let's hope someone can confirm the Big would fit with my mobo.
