Default Fan Suggestions

Hello,

What brand do you suggest for a decent fan that can push high CFM but is somewhat quiet as well? Any suggestions?

I've been using Scythe S-Flex fans, from what i've seen, they are one of the best balance for CFM and DB.

check out silentpcreview.com, they have a page for suggested fans and such.

Gelid Wing 12, or really any of Gelids Line. Most if not all the fans I've played with from them at their loudest are quieter than my others sets at low RPM.

My thoughts at least, I generally don't go for quiet myself.....as most people know.

While I'd normally agree with the suggestion for S-Flex as the best fan. It's usually a bit out of the price range of most people when you get other fans for cheaper. If you need an exhaust fan that doesnt need a lot of static pressure, Scythe Slipstreams would be pretty good in terms of cfm/db. For cheap, high static pressure fans that are nV.eeded for heatsinks I say Cooler Master R4 fans and undervolt them to 5 or 7. There's also the Gelid Silent 12 series which can be found for around $3.50. 1000rpm and are extremely quiet while pushing a decent amount of air

+1 for Gentle typhoon 1850 RMP. Actually use 3 of them on my rad and they are dead silent for good CFM.

yea, sound is all subjective. and it really all depends on what you are using it for, and how its being mounted. Never realized its so complicated till I started to look into things myself.

Gelid Silent 12 PWM because they are silent and have nearly 60CFM. Plus they rubber grommets for less noise.
