Default Coolink Corator DS CPU Cooler Review Comment Thread

Being the sister company of an industry heavyweight can't be easy but that's exactly what Coolink has lived with since their inception. Nonetheless, they have succeeded time and again in distancing themselves from the long shadow that Noctua casts and have forged ahead with innovative, well-priced heatsink designs. In this review we take a look at their Corator DS; a cooler which is supposed to cater to enthusiasts with high end performance while keeping the overall price at a reasonable level.

Thanks AkG, thorough review as usual.
Indeed Corator DS is a worthy HDT heatsink. Good job, both you and Coolink.

nice. like the coolers were you get to keep the standard backplate for amd.

i see installation wasnt too difficult, for a big tower cooler.

now, is it me or its doing marvelously well with low speed fans??? :)

Coolink Corator DS CPU Cooler Review

Cons:

- Size and weight belie its limited cooling performance
- Base needs a lot more work on fit & finishing
- Can only mount a single fan
- Dual tower design really need two fans to reach its potential
- Very limited availability

Top number is sock fan result....the BOTTOM number is it in a "apples to apples" comparison against other coolers running a low speed fan. Very few stock fans will NOT do well when compared against an anaemic 900rpm fan ;)
