Default 120mm Silent fans?

Does anyone here know where and what maker of quiet running exhaust fans can be found? All makers say thier fans are silent but only people using them would really know. I need two 120mm and one 80mm fans and as my computer is on top of my desk, the sound is right next to my ears. Please help?Thank you all.

Try the Gelid Wing 12s. for a good balance between performance and noise.

Otherwise, buy some Noctua P12 fans for quietness.

For Absolute quiet, yeah Gelids are going to be your best bet. Noctuas are very good too, but I still cant justify the price tag when many other fans are very competitive with them Price VS Performance.

Scythe makes some real low RPM fans if performance is a lesser factor.

Low RPM Scythe Gentle Typhoons. They move air, and are fairly quite. Gelid is another nice company to look at.

Gelid makes decent fans if you really don't want to break the bank. If you can find cheap Yate Loons, those are good too. Nexus are the best in TOTAL silence, but they cost a fair bit and don't move much air at all. Scyth Gentle Typhoons and SFF-12D/E's are also good.

I'll also pitch a vote in for the Gelids. These things are quiet.
