A/C cooling a Laptop.(not too practical.)

Hi,
My Dell Studio 15 was showing temperatures of ~70C while Folding.
A bit worried, I left it in front of the A/C going at full blast.

Temperatures dropped to around 40C within 15 minutes. A drop of 30C!

Anyone else tried something this strange?

I'm guessing you live down south right ? No where in Canada right now do we need the A/C on.

I live a little bit above the equator in India. Avg temp: 40C

making sure tehres a good cm or so from the surface to the base of the laptop improves cooling without expenses like ac. i know because i use the cheapo methods myself on my collection of old,older and not so old ;aptops.

if you ever owned an ibm a31, you would know ;)

I found putting it on top of an ironing board helps, the fabric used on ironing boards seems to dissipate of heat pretty well
