Default What fan to buy
As some of you know on IRC i am going to be moving away from my sega genesis case mod to something a bit bigger (Lego case that wont look like a pc/console) and was wondering what heatsink fan (i'm thinkin 60-100mm) for an atom processor (N330). It needs to have a decent/good CFM with a rather low dB as i want it to run as quiet as possible (no water cooling).

:O Why what's wrong with the genesis mod??? Getting to hot in there? That sucks. And wuuuut, you're going to make a case out of lego? lol. Can't wait to see the build. Unfortuneately I have no comment on what fan you should use...

SilenX or Gelid 80mm would suffice For that.

Good Nosie Control, Good FDB Bearings. Good overall fans.

That, or get the Delta 10,000 RPM 40mm Fan and watch your Case take Flight.

Well if i made it an airplane or flying saucer it sounding like its flying would add to it but i'm hoping for near silence with good cfm

Coolink makes a great slim 80mm fan.

The fan doesn't have to be as slim as before since i'll be designing the case to have more then enough clearance for it

Just don't get sleeve bearing fans.

S-flex, and Gelid are the brands I recommend. I don't particular like SilenX fans for their longevity.

Just want something quiet and decent cfm and relatively inexpensive too. Specific models very helpful too

Petra's Tech Shop

80mm Panaflo Low speed fans. Pretty freaking quiet. Undervoltable, move a fair amount of air.

60mm Vantec Stealths. Also pretty quiet, however, they don't move that much air.
