Judging from the results it seems to like airflow>CFM, as the NF-P12 was designed for high static pressure and it loses to this fan, which is originally a case fan (which means airflow, not pressure). That gap seems to make any low pressure fan work well.

I am a little confused with the paragraph at the end of page 11 (the 3.8 OC). You describe it as barely avoiding last place, but the graph shows that with the Wing 12PL it has the best performance, even with its stock fan it is in the middle of the pack (better than the TRUE black).

But that was with all the other heatsinks using a low-speed fan. Its results with a low-speed fan were pretty poor...though to be fair it was up against some good coolers.

Sorry if it seems confusing. Basically when a manufacturer sends us a secondary fan we like to include its data in all the tests, just as we do for its stock results. This way you can get a feel for what the impact (be it positive or negative) swapping out the stock fan will have on temperatures. This is why you see the multiple results in most of the charts. For an apples to apples comparison between the various coolers look only at the results that don't say "Wing 12PL" or "Stock". These are the results for a given cooler with a charts fan.
