MarkOne ... You were very right about getting the OS installed. Guess I could have saved myself and all of you a lot of time by doing that sooner. Big lesson learned for me.

Core 3 Lo 20 Hi 33

What say you guys?

I guess the next thing is to try some stress testing.

BTW on another issue ... BIOS says my memory is operating at 1066 ... I'v got 1600 mHz mem installed and I thought it would default to 1333 without BIOS changes.
Temps are fine.

You may have to adjust the Ram multiplier to match the sticks' speed.

I'm running Prime95 now with the "blended" setting and I'm seeing the following in RealTemp

max 50 48 47 47

It's only been running for a few minutes however.

Hey guys, I overclocked my i5 system. Got it to 3.8 the first time. Temps after running LinX for 20 runs max'd at 78C.

MarkOne will be wondering what I am doing messing around in the BIOS.

I've posted what I did, the results and some questions at

I have not added any more fans yet and I still need to do some cable management. I'll try 1.31 as well.

This evening I picked up a Cooler Master R4 fan for the front of the case. I'll install it this weekend. I may get another one as well to turn the case into a wind tunnel.

I'm on a 3.6 overclock now an all is fine (see overclocking thread for details ... link below).
