Default Non Squeeling Fan Controller

So I have a few "high" powered fans that I want to be able to control so I picked up a Lamptron FC-3 fan controller and guess what.. squeeling when voltage is turned down.

So... what next?

Wouldn't that be a fan issue and not a fan controller issue?
You could.. get new fans, ones that undervolt well?

Negative the fans are fine and you can clearly here the controller squeel.

I'm gonna switch the FC-3 for a FC-2 and see what happens.

I've heard too that the Lamptrons tend to squeal. Among the decent wattage/channel controllers, the one to get seem to be Sunbeam Rheobus. I'm not a big fan of overbright LED knobs tho.
