Default Sub $20 HSF Opinions

I've started to overclock my AMD 5200+ to 3.0Ghz on the crappy stock heatsink. So i'm in the market for a better aftermarket HSF.

Looking at NCIX's inventory of HSFs, i found these three ~$20 HSF, all with heatpipes like the popular 212+. So here are the HSF:

AeroCool DCC-C900 LGA775 AM2/AM3 Direct Touch Heatpipe Cooler 800-1500RPM 120MM Fan

Coolermaster RR-910-HTX3-GP Hyper TX Series Aluminum 3-HEATPIPE CPU Cooler S1156/775/AM3/AM2/939/940

OCZ Vendetta Heatpipe CPU Heatsink AM2 LGA775 S939 S940 S754 92MM 1200-2800RPM

Silenx iXtrema Pro Direct Touch Heatpipe Cooler LGA775 LGA1366 AM3 with 92MM 2000RPM 18DBA LED Fan
My question is, which one would be the best bang for the buck?

Vandetta, but you could easily get a 212+ for $25. Either or would be a solid choice.

Honestly, none of those coolers are worth it UNLESS 20 bucks is your max budget. IMHO spend a few extra and get either a Vendetta 2 or Hyper 212+.

IF I had to chose between those 4, Id probably go for the OCZ Vendetta, it may only use a 92mm fan but it is a decent cooler at lower thermal loads....that or the Aerocool, because it uses a 120mm and thus is easier to swap out the stock fan for a better low noise / high performance fan. BUT it would be chose one of those four or use the stock cooler kind of deal. :)

Aero or Vendetta if really all you can spend is 20.

However its best to spend a bit more , as AKG said and get something like teh CM 212+.

I personally wouldn't trust anything made by SilenX to cool my CPU. I'm at a 57% failure rate with their fans...

I agree with the others here, spend the little extra cash and pick up a tried and tested CM 212+ or Vendetta 2

And it's not like their fans are cheap $$$.

Back to subject, spend extra $5 and get 212+. You can use it when you upgrade later on.

I know that the 212+ is good, but that requires me to take out everything (pain in behind). Also, i cannot PM coz i don't have a CC. How bout the Coolermaster HSF, it is the little bro to the 212+. and you are able to use to 2 fans instead of one.
