Default seeking advice on new CPU cooler

I'm looking for a CPU cooler to cool my Q9400, preferably not with push pins.

price range preferably $30-$60 but I am flexible.

I want my temps to go down... I get usually get 35-40 degrees idle with the intel stock cooler at stock temps, I want a nice cooler to bring those temps down, and i would like to hopefully overclock a little bit.

Also, would it be better to go with direct touch for a quad core or stick with a regular heatsink?

thanks

Hyper 212 Plus. Amazing cooler, tons of accessories and hits all your requirements dead on.

Another vote for the Hyper212 plus, even though i don't own one personally i can say that many HWC owners are happy with their purchase and i want to be one of them soon.
