I bought 4 of the $20 212+ coolers from NCIX recently and I think they are excellent. I used a 212+ bracket and backplate to mount a TRUE 1366 to my P55M-UD4 today. I had to really push down on the screws to get them to reach the threads on the backplate because the TRUE's base is about twice as thick as the 212+'s base. Temperatures are about 5C cooler with a 1450rpm Gentle Typhoon. The TRUE's fan mounting clip/shroud makes the cooler slightly too wide so that it pushes the GPU in the first PCIe slot down a millimeter or two.

Hello, i tried they way you did the installation, but it didn't fit. I can't get the bracket to fit like you did it, so i got it to be the other side (air flow doesn't go to the back of the case, it goes to my power supply)

Wow!!! That is one tight case!!!!!

At least you were able to fit it in, although in hindsight I'd personally probably go with a low profile downdraft cooler with a setup like that.

Welcome to the forums!!!

The next $50 you spend should go towards a new case...I don't see (m)any fans in there.

Yes, i have 90$ for buying a new case but i don't know which to pick. I like how the xclio a380 looks, but it has top psu mount. and my psu has a fan that is inside the case. can you help me pick one?

Default Mounting the 212+ for top exhaust on MSI

I purched the MSI 890FXA-GD70 motherboard and I am looking for a CPU cooler. I settled on the 212+ but before I order I was wondering if anybody mounted the 212+ to exhaust towards the top of the case. stoanee has answered the question of a rear exaust setup with the awesome guide on installing it. I have the COOLER MASTER Storm Scout SGC-2000-KKN1-GP that has a top mounted fan. Can the 212+ be mounted to exhaust towards the top and will it fit in this case? Thanks for reading!

It's been a while since I don't Have my H212+ anymore but yes it can be mounted in either way:

the mounting system on the H212+ imo is its best feature...Now i personally rather the OCZ Vendetta 2 for AMD budget systems as it is cheaper and performs ALOT better but the mounting is terrible compared to the CM!
