CPU Temperatures list! Post what you have running!

Hey all. I used the search function and couldn't find a good list in regards to HWC's members' air cooling accomplishments.
This would serve well comparisons wise: to see what people have accomplished in the world of air cooling and matching your own stats with others.



Some things to post:
1. CPU (Chip and OC?) - if stock, mention. if oc'd, tell us what you have it running at!

2. CPU Cooler - It'd be nice if you could mention what kind of fan configurations you have running. ex - push/pull, single, passive

3. Thermal Paste - application method?

4. Idle Temperatures / Load Temperatures across all cores - average is perfect. don't need to list every individual core.

5. Ambient Temperature - (if possible)

6. Case fans - in terms of intake/exhaust.


I'll start things off
1. Running a q6700 at stock (too hot to O/C)
2. Xigmatek HDT-S1283 in a push/pull config using 2x Noctua NF-p12's. -->
3. MX-2 Thermal Paste - one dot in middle of cpu evenly spread across copper plate
4. Idle: 32 degrees across all cores. Load: 10 Hours F@H Load @ 50 degrees across cores.
5. Ambient temp of about 27 degrees.. Yes it's stupid hot.
6. Running a HAF 932 custom side panel mod... 3x 120mm, 1x 240mm intakes, 3x exhausts

Middle intake Scythe Gentle Typhoon @920 RPM, HDD intake Scythe Kaze Jyu Slim @940 RPM, exhaust Noctua P12 @680 RPM.

Meantime I've changed Noctua NH-U12P fan with Scythe KAMA PWM @ 420 RPM and middle intake Scythe Gentle Typhoon with Scythe S-Flex 800 RPM and lower Kaze Jyu until 700 RPM. Nice and deadly silent.

CPU Cooler: Vendetta 2 - Stock fan at max speed (2000rpm ?)
Thermal paste: unknown, cooler was installed by tech.

Idle temps: 31c.
Load temps: 46c.
Ambient temp: Front intake:22c.
North Bridge:48c.
Avg. CPU power: 80 W. @ 100% load.

Case fans:2 x Thermalright TR-FDB-12-2000 (Front/Rear) @ max speed, and stock Lian-Li top exhaust fan.
North Bridge fan:Antec Spot Cool @ max speed

Quite good temps, and when my AC is running, at low speed, about 3 meters away, i barely hear the pc fans.

The little 92mm Xigamtek cooler is a fantastic product but may be over it's head under load with the unlocked quad going all out. I'll invest in the 120mm S1283 model with a good performing fan to compensate.
Got to love the X2 550 though.......great bang for the buck

Load Temp (4 SMP F@H Clients): 33 Degrees (as measured by Core Temp Beta)
Idle Temp:( 1-3% Load from background programs) is 19 Degrees
Ambient Temp: 16-17 As measured by a Fluke Meter (its a Sub Basement where my computers are).

Case: Thermaltake Armor MX+ Mid-Tower (Stock Cooling)

Thermal Paste: Innovative Cooling 24 Carat Diamond (IC Application Method)

Load Temp: Prime95 : 44 Degrees
Idle Temp:(1-3% Load from Background Programs) 21 Degrees
Ambient Temp: 16-17 as measured by a Fluke Meter

Case: NZXT Apollo Mid-Tower
Cooling Upgrade: 3 AeroCool Xtreme Turbine 89.5CFM Fans, 1 iStarUSA Mobile Rack with 80mm Thermaltake Smart Fan at 56.5CFM.

5. Ambient Temperature: 23c - 26c
6. Case fans - Intake (front)120mm x 1, (side)120mm x 1; Exaust (rear)120mm x 1

Temperatures were taken from Realtemp 3.00.
Load Temps were achieved using Prime95 64bit.
I've messed with my case fans since and will edit this post later with new stats for comparison.

4. Idle Temperatures / Load Temperatures across all cores - 39-40c / 47-50c5. Ambient Temperature - not sure since my thermostat doesn't work, probably around 20-22c

Idle Temperature: Core 1 - 30 C / Core 2 - 30 C
Load Temperature: Core 1 - 64 C / Core 2 - 63 C
Ambient Temperature: 21 C
Case Fans: Stock cooling on Antec 900. 2x 120mm intake fans @ 1200RPM. 1x 120mm exhaust fan @ 1200RPM. 1x 200mm exhaust fan, can't find specs for it.
