Default Scythe Mugen 2 - Temps high?

Scythe Mugen 2 installed with the cooler facing up alternatively than back.

Like this.

Air Flow
[F A N]

I have a concern, im running my I7 @ 3.8 1.25v and real temp is showing me 47 - 45 degrees idle (this is on standard fan control settings.)
I have the back bracket on as snug as possible, thermal paste was spread lightly with a credit card (couldn't see cpu surface fully covered in paste but didnt seem over the top.)

Temp Readings on Turbo Fan settings.
Load is mid to high 70's

I have a cool master HAF 932 case, so airflow isnt the issue. I need some help with what might of gone wrong. The cpu socket clip was snugged up properly to the back plate, and the cooler was screwed correctly.

Any help is appreciated to find out where I can back step to fix the problem.

My System Specs

But what's the problem?
You have an i7 @3.8Ghz and 7xC in load. For me it looks OK.
What's your room temperature? HT on?

HT is on, room temp..roughly 20-25 right now.

Reason being that I ask is my concern with my idle temps, load could always be a little lower though.
