Default Fans mounted on radgrill making wierd noise?

I suspect it's from the intake air going through the radgrill --> through the fan into the case.
Is there any way to space the fan from the fangrill?

Got a cheap fan you never use? Punch out the motor and blades, and use that as a shroud to give the fan blades a little clearance.
