My System Specs

Default 180mm fans

Well to the people who have them, Silverstone is releasing a blue LED variant around the end of August apparently. I'm guessing they'll make the stock black ones available for sale as well.

Too bad I doubt any other manufacturer will produce 180mm fans, so I'm still stuck with the specs of the Silverstone ones. I personally wouldn't mind something a bit more powerful.

I have an FT01 and would love to swap out the 180mm fans for something a bit more powerful. Hoping there will be higher CFM models available soon as well.

For those of us with Silverstone cases, or soon-to-be, the 180mm fans have finally been released:

Variable speed (500-1300RPM), white casing/blades, no LEDs: SilverStone (SST-FM181)

Fixed speed (700RPM), clear casing/blades, blue LEDs: SilverStone (SST-FN181-BL)

Fixed speed (700RPM), black casing/blades, no LEDs (the stock fans): SilverStone (SST-FN181)

Fully sleeved too in your choices of colours, which is typical of P-PCs to do. Could account for slightly higher prices too, but I'm not sure of where else you'll be able to find them. Maybe NCIX will get them in eventually?

So stock is 700rpm and the variable one can do 1300. hmmm. 150CFM is nice. I think I may just have to bit the bullet. Either way I paid more for my 120x38mm San Aces than that. I was actually looking for faster fans yesterday, thanks.

I kind of find it odd how the stock 700RPM ones are rated at 100CFM, yet spinning at 1300RPM only yields 50CFM more? I'd assume it would be closer to double, but I guess it has something to do with the blade design.

And well no fan specs are true anyhow...

I'm thinking about grabbing 2 of the variable speed ones for my FT01-BW. Should lower my GPU temperatures some. Once I do, I'll post my thoughts on them.
