Default AM3 CPU Coolers

Hi!

I've been looking to build my own gaming rig for sometime now. I have an idea of the spec I'm going for, however, as the subject suggest, I have no idea what cpu air coolers would work for a AM3 socket.. a good one of course!

Cheers!

the am2/am2+ ones will work as they have the same socket mounting as the am3 :)

Yes, AM2 and AM2+ use the same sockets size as AM3's.

i say Xigmatek S1283 or the OCZ Vendetta 2. both of them give you similar performance compared w/ the TRUE but at 3/4 of the price.

+1 recommendation for the Xig 1283. Not much more than 30$ if you shop around for some great performance.

+ 1 to 1283 and +1 to mugen 2 ( I'm always thinking you can build a house with a cooler that big:P )
