My System Specs

Default Coolermaster cm690 80mm fan...

Does adding an 80mm fan to side of the case (behind the CPU) affect temps much?

Supose to take away a couple degrees or so, I wouldnt expect any miracles though your really only cooling the back of the mobo, and theres alot of PCB and plastic/metal between the fan and the CPU, no direct contact.

I was thinking about adding a fan there, but I can't find an 80mmX80mmX15mm. I tried to find one with green LED's but to no avail. That's the fan size required on that case.

Hey Reality, believe it or not it does actually make a decent difference.
If you look at the Review done on the Speedo, the Fan blowing onto the motherboard was good for a 5-7 degree drop in temps.

So, yeah putting a fan there is a good idea.
I always thought it took a 70mm though...

That's an odd-ball size, I don't think I've ever seen one X15mm ... Never mind one with green led's. If you could find one, I'm sure it would definitely help lower temps. It certainly wouldn't hurt.

80 x 15mm Fans : Performance-PCs.com, ... sleeve it and they will come

NCIX used to have a couple of those Hiper fans, but I don't think they do anymore.

I'll have to pick one of these up. As if I need more green light coming out of my case. I already have 3X120mm green led fans and a cold cathode.

Hmm thanks for the info ST, I think im going to have to try that now, already have 9 fans running in my case now whats 1 more... And thanks Jdrom I looked all over for one that would fit but gave up, I couldnt even find a regular black one let alone LED ones!

EDIT: NVM =( just remembered the xiggys crossbow mounting kit might be in the way and would probubly interfere with air flow =(
