You mean, "undervolting" in general? or the 5V trick?

Edit: You don't get voltage feedback with the 5V option, it's the 7V option that runs that risk. I don't particularly like the 7V option myself, for just that reason.

What do you mean Enab....you don't condone plugging in Case fans to Mobo Headers? I ask only because I had an odd "Cold Boot" error on my X58 Mobo / Rig and was basically at the point where I figured it was either the PSU or the Mobo causing the "issue"...
I have since sent the Mobo back to Evga (stepping up to Classified) and have RMA'd the PSU to Corsair.
That is interesting, I had 3 Scythe S Flex 120mm 1200 RPM fans and CPU fan plugged into headers only, 2 other fans plugged into Molex.....can you elaborate?
