Water cooling can put you back a fair amount if you want significantly more overclocking room than air cooling. Personally though I would think about two options: the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 or if you want to get your feet wet without going to extremes, grab the CoolIT Domino.

Or if you really want to go to extremes , but still not do your own custom loop, get the Coolit Freezone Elite MTEC.
That thing had an awsome review here at HWC, and is a true best dealing with Thermals.

Xigmatek only with crossbow. Learned the hard way. Fan mount on Xigmatek is ridiculous. Get Extreme.

the TRUE would be good. Get some noctua's and you'd be gold. Unless you want to Water cool, which would be awsome, but a lot more expensive

I have the Xigmatek, and I like it.
Used a thermaltake bolt thru kit.

I'm vouching for the Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120, great alternative to water. Keeps my i7 cool easily! Strap 2 fans on there and it cools very well.

OCZ Vendetta 2. Best bang for buck HSF. Just be sure to get the retention bracket if you hate dealing with push pins.
