do you agree this article at Top 5 Intel & AMD Heatsinks on Frostytech ?

i am trying to choose something new other than thermalright TRUE black...

The top 2 work just as good as the true and cost less.

probelm is OCZ vendetta2 is not in top 10... unlike HWC's review..

They all do the same thing.. pretty much same temps.

well about 3 to 4 degree different...

is it same to your both cpu cooler? (i believe you owned thermalright ultra 120 before)


i still wonder like to know what is minimum and maximum temperature for watercooling...

I saw very little difference between the Vendetta2 and the True.

Wasn't the Vendetta 2 a slight improvement from the Xigmatek S1283, at least I remember seeing few reviews where the vendetta did perform slightly better. If that is true, you question is answered. But as enaberif said pretty much same temps all around, so Xigmatek should be good for you.

Yep, the Xigmatek should be fine. I'm using it on my rig right now, and load only reaches 37C max, with folding 24/7. Oh and you might want to know that I'm using the push pins that came with it.

I see no question here about water cooling. Too big of a heatsink, the Xigmatek still is probably better for the simple fact that it is direct heatpipe touch rather than a copper base. Get the Xigmatek, Thermalright LGA775 bolt thru kit and a different fan to accompany it, the original isn't bad, but something like a Noctua will make it much worthy.
