Should I make a top HWC Air Cooled Systems thread?

Hey guys, what do you think? Make a table of the Top 30 Air Cooled Systems on HWC. Scores will be based on SuperPi, 3dm06, and Vantage?? What do you guys think. Also how about making a similar one for Watercooling?

Sure, but can we do it as % overclock, and long-term up time? hardware used disctates winner by scores, scores are useless to show someones skill, or effeort given into an overclock. Let's keep it about the people, not the system?

Jsut start a thread...some data can be found if you troll through the benchmark threads already here...

Sounds interesting, although I'd second the %overclock idea. Maybe extra props for real stability? Say, 10hrs of P95 or using it for folding?

Also not sure about Vantage, since it's Vista-only, but it's nothing to loose sleep over. Maybe wPrime, since it's dead easy to submit and verify, and takes advantage of multiple cores?

OK guys, tell ya what, I'll start a thread, and maintain it.

Sounds like a good idea, and may I suggest something similar to DFI street's old 3G club, but based on % of overclock? Keep in mind that it's a lot of work keeping track of these kinds of submissions, and rules for verification will need to be set in advance as well as strictly enforced or you'll end up with a lot of work trying to mediate between OC claims.

I don't speak for all mods/admins, but if it catches on and you're up to the task of keeping on top of it cadaveca I'd certainly vote for making it a sticky in the appropriate area.

Well, considering I've got very little to do until all my kids are in school(a good 4 years away), I think I can find the time to keep it up to date. I cannot contribute with scores too often, but I cen definitely give my time ;)

ya i was thinking, it would be way too hard for one person to maintain them all, if a few people will each do one of the threads (id be willing to do one) we could have on for Air Cooling, WC, maybe RAM overclocking. Id be iwlling to the the Air cooling,
maybe make a seperate one for Intel and AMD since they clock differently

EDIT*, nvm seems like cade has it under contorl ;) glad my idea caught on

It's up to you guys to decide what you want to validate scores, as majority should rule. I'll contact each person who submits to qualify if need be. Copy and pasting data into excel doesn't take alot of time...those that submit have all the work!

Stability discussion already under way here:

how about a TOP SuperPi 1M Times? Or maybe a RAM overlcocking by % overclock thread, and they must pass memtest??
and maybe a completely seperate, Top Performing PC. Like, go straight by 3DMarks, basically top30 best comp's on HWC???
