My System Specs

Default Freezer XTREME

I see that Canada Computers now have the Freezer XTREME in stock Canada Computers - Cooling > CPU Cooling : Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME for Intel Socket LGA 775 up to 160 Watts, AMD Socket AM2+, AM2 and 939 up to 160 Watts.. I still can only find one English review of the unit here Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME CPU Cooler :: TweakTown. It is a very good price, but they donít show you it installed in a case which because of its size would be a good idea.

I would think about going up to this from my Freezer 7 Pro but it is very large and I am not sure of the new way Arctic Cooling is mounting this (because of the weight), anyone have one of these bad boys and would care to comment.

The cooler looks like it has a chance to fit in my htpc, pretty nice cooler for the price. I have been pretty impressesed with the freezer pro and bought 2 of them both have shown me that 1. they are efficent and 2. they are durable and when I bought them they were only 18 bucks. I think i might try one of these in an upcomming build but ill wait till ncix or dc has them in stock.

Hey Conky, yes it does look good for the price, but I want to see some more feedback or reviews that talk about the new mounting system. For some thing that size I think a back plate might be in order, it just seems like fancy push pins to me except it looks like you can get more down force because you are screwing it to the bracket ?
