Of course, but for HTPC even, HDMI receivers are a consideration with current videocards, including bluray and DTS/dolby HD formats. In fact, it would kind of be the standard, wouldn't it? Consideration might also need to be given to analogue HD, possibly? I mean, in the end, dealing with HTPC boards would deal with the audio as well, wouldn't it? I mean, wouldn't then any audio card reviews need to be compared to onboard solutions?

I mean, you can get by with using SPDIF and HDMI for 1080P in HTPC situation, but doesn't that defeat the purpose of HDMI in the first place?

I guess what I'm saying is, doesn't Home Theatre, by nature, include audio?
