I've been using mine for a while now and i havnt had any unusual problems with my eyes, just had them checked not too long ago and theres been no change in them in years.
They DO take some getting used to though. When i first started using them there was a bit of eye strain after a couple hours, but after i relaxed and stopped fighting them that went away.
I'm no specialist or anything, but that is my experience anyway.
