Damn dude, that really sucks. Wet hardware is never a good thing. Try giving it a thorough drying before you totally give up though.

Took a quick look at NCIX and threw something together. If you searched around I'm sure you could knock the price down a bit.

I'm not very knowledgeable on the whole RAID thing so I just linked the cheapest. For the 3ware one your looking at $500 minimum and for Areca $700.

Raid card: Highpoint Rocketraid 8 port $277.94 - Buy Highpoint Rocketraid 2320 8 Channel SATA2 RAID PCI-E4 Controller - RR2320 In Canada.
CPU: Intel C2D 7200 $140.30 - Buy Intel Core 2 Duo E7200 Dual Core Processor LGA775 2.53GHZ 1066FSB 3MB Retail Box - BX80571E7200 In Canada.
Board: Asus P5Q Pro $151.99 - Buy Motherboards In Canada.
PSU: OCZ 700w $104.99 - Buy OCZ GameXStream 700W ATX12V 24PIN SLI Ready Active PFC ATX Power Supply 120MM Fan Black - OCZ700GXSSLI In Canada. (Im going with a 700w as I'm not exatly sure of the power nessecary for 10 drives)
GFX: Palit HD 4850 $169.99 - Buy Palit Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 PCI-E Video Card - XAE/48500+T352 In Canada..
Optical: LG DVD burner w/ lightscribe $32.90 - Buy LG GSA-H55L DVD+RW 20X8X16 DVD-RW 20X6X16 DL 10X Lightscribe DVD Writer IDE 2MB Black OEM W/ SW - GSA-H55L BLACK In Canada.
OS: Vista Home Premium 64-Bit $132.80 - Buy Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition 64BIT DVD OEM - 66I-00788 In Canada.

Total comes to $1060.91 before MIR's, taxes, shipping, etc.

Thats would be a very capable Intel system, if you would like to spend more, a quad core or higher end raid card is an option as well.
