Well, the little MemTest exe, the one which runs in Windows, reported errors almost immediately, and no errors at all after I removed the RAM module from DIMM slot B1. And then I took the RAM module which had been in B1 and put it in B2, and still no errors. So it's definitely not the RAM stick.... but I knew that already.
I got Nero installed and made the bootable CD for Memtest86. I have that running on my AMD machine right now (4 x 1 GB OCZ Reaper RAM modules) and at 74% complete, it's showing no errors. I knew that too, just wanted to test Memtest86, while I'm still busy installing stuff on this box.

It does appear I do in fact have a problem with B1, if the little MemTest app is to be believed. I'm relieved it's not the RAM module - I guess... but that would have been better than it being the mobo. ;-)
