Oh I get open source but what I am saying is with yet another browser on the market, if it takes off I don't want to run into discrepancies between it and the other browsers and platforms I already have to deal with when working on web sites. Like the way CSS is handled in FF vs IE. Or how text is rendered different on a Mac than a PC etc.. etc... it's all just a total PITA for us web guys.

I am not a programmer or developer but I have to create and work with code everyday, and it has to work across a large cross section of users. I fear that Chrome will not be making my job any easier. And as I said.... Chrome will not be taking IE users away from IE. It will only be splitting the users who are already using FF or other browser.
