The ppu does not replace the cpu, it works along with it. Without the PPU, only 8 planes are in flight. With the PPU, 16 are in flight...so not only does it measure the addition of the PPU, it increases the workload so that they work in tandem.

So, we look at the single test in which you stomp on my score...a cpu test...how many planes do you see in flight?

Regardless, if we were to take just about any other type of test, like a game, I'd come out on top, if only from me having a quad @ 4ghz, vs your dualcore @ 3ghz...I mean, I could go and get two of the same cards you have, and the same board, and I'd be much faster...in everything except Vantage(because of the PPU, although I could choose which ran that specific Vantage test).

Don't get me wrong, your cards are faster than mine, but not with my cpu @ 4ghz, and not when your vgas are busy doing Phys-X.

Anway, try using a driver from before nV Phys-X, or turn PPU off in vnatage, and check the score again...

This is why Futuremark REALLY banned the scores....

Some peopel(alot) use Futuremark when considering buying a PC. A marketing tactic, for sure. Anyway, take the two benches we are looking at now, and if jsut considering this single bench, it would seem prudent to buy your rig over mine...but get 'em both home, and start playing games, doiong enconding, or whatever...the difference would be quite obvious.

That said though, crank up to 4ghz, and your system will beat mine in most games.
