Default Watchout for NDAS and comparison.

Is it for purchase by you or sale?

You can get a W.D. My book world from costco for $539 with 2 x 1TB drives in it.

So figure $135 for a 1TB drive from CanadaDirect or other and you've got $270 from teh $539 so you've got $269 left.

So if the A.C. Ryan is $269 or less then it's a good buy. Only caveat is that it's an NDAS device. There are claims that an NDAS device is better than a run of the mill file sharing NAS device but, If you have any funky network softare on your PC like a VPN client it may conflict with the NDAS driver.

I had a user purchase an NDAS device and it wouldn't play nice with Check Point SecuRemote, the VPN client we use here at my Company.
