I was sorta in the same boat, I just swapped 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix 8500's for 2x 2GB Mushkin Ascent 8500 less then an hour ago. I just straight swapped them. Didn't have to even reset the mem timings or anything... yet. It primed for 20 mins without erroring (i'll leave it longer when I'm not at work and can babysit) - so all in all I'm digging the Mushkins.
