Best thing to do is probably pick up some used RAM. Considering most RAM comes with a lifetime warranty, there's almost no reason to buy it new unless it's bleeding edge and no one is unloading it. By this time DDR2 has been through a couple refreshes though. That's what I'd look into doing anyway.
