Only things that ever tweak my interest at tiger direct are their lower end bundles. I've seen some decent older motherboard/ram/cpu bundles go for under $100 which paired with a cheapo ($40) case/psu purchased locally & a used 17" CRT would be a good start to a sub $250 internet machine.

I didn't even know NCIX had store fronts, but Tigerdirect buys their products in the US and ships them up here, and are also constantly expanding in the GTA (in regards to # of stores). Also if you've even been to a Tigerdirect Retail store there are about 15 employees at a time there. They are big stores too, not as big as Futurshop... and they aren't in the appliance business like Futureshop (not sure who goes to Futureshop looking for a fridge...) but I'm guessing that NCIX stores probably don't have as many related costs so they can keep their prices lower then Tigers. Although I don't really know, anyone ever been to an NCIX store?

- oh and tigerdirect has some good monitor deals every now and then, and since you can go into their stores you can check for deal pixals... if you order it online they consider the monitor good if it has up to something like 7 dead ones...

- Also I made a post in the deals section for a 1tb hard drive that they are selling for around $80 less then NCIX
