BTW... I tried the Rust-oleum spray product (ProGrip) on a couple of chrome fan guards and aside from my own mistake of spraying too much on the first coat (can needs to be started on a scrap surface first time out) it seems to do a great job. Just like using a spray can to paint, multiple low coverage coats seems to be the way to go.
Actually I would say everything I do is rather simple. Just takes planning, patience and not being afraid of doing something over again if it isn't right the first time.


The ProGrip has a significantly better spray nozzle so I actually expect it to be quite a bit better than the Plasti-Dip. Nothing is worse than cheap spray nozzles on paint.
