My advice, go with the 780 JUST so you can have a single GPU solution over crossfire. Although dual cards are reasonable setups, there just some stupid things that don't work once in a while and drive me mad when they don't. It's not major, but sometimes it will be for a specific game that you happen to want to play. If you're super conscious about your money and want the best performance per $$, the 780 isn't the way to go, but almost EVERYTHING about it is better than dual 7950s. Way lower temps, power consumption, heat output, better reliability, less stuttering potential issues, etc. Also, a 780 will have NO problems outputting surround resolutions no matter what some fools like to say about the matter. I have been running surround on a single GTX 680 since it came out and I have not complained about the experience.
