My System Specs

Default

I've always liked the AM3+ platform. This is one area where AMD, in my mind, exceeded Intel's Z68 and even Z77 platform. The 990FX chipset has roughly twice the PCI lanes, more SATA3 and USB3 bandwidth. There was scalability, too. If you wanted to budget and didn't need all the extra PCI lanes, well, you could choose from any lower options such as the 970 or the 990x chipsets.

I've always liked my AMD boards!
