And chances are it won't die in the near future. The difference with OC'ing via Offset mode is that with Speedstep C1 enabled it not only down clocks frequency, but also down clocks VCore. Then your Chip isn't down locked to 1.2 Ghz with high vCore. When I'm at the desktop idle, my chip is at 1.2 Ghz @ .898v

He'll I ran my 980x @ 1.45v for a couple of years and it was working as good as Tey day I got it ;)
